The Hagen Fluval canister filters are one of the best, most reliable, multi-stage canister filters available!  They are appropriate for all freshwater tanks and saltwater fish only tanks up to 100 gallons.  You may use more than 1 filter in an aquarium, (i.e. a 200 gallon tank will require 2x Fluval model 405's)
