Atyopsis moluccensis

a.k.a. Flower Shrimp

Size: Up to 4", pH: 6.5 - 7.4, Temp: 72-85, Origin: Singapore

These are one of the largest shrimp we offer. Female shrimp are about 2.5 to 3" in length or about the size of a man's pinky finger, and Male shrimp in this species can be even larger to the size of a man's index finger. They are sensitive to cold water, high pH, and high GH.

Singapore shrimp are one of the best filter feeders, and will stay near the top of the water's surface or near the outlet flow of a mechanical filter. Singapore's do not do well in bare-bottom tanks, and prefer a well planted aquarium. They will colonize on driftwood, so buy a grouping of them for best results!
