Red Sea (the manufacturers of world famous Dupla products) have created a new water conditioner and essential mineral blend for aquarium plants.

To ensure the quality of water in the aquarium, all new water should be treated by a water conditioner before use.  Flora Gro+ combines the water soluble nutrients required for vibrant plant growth together with an effective water conditioner.  Flora Gro+ neutralizes heavy metals, chlorine and chloramines as well as enhancing the protective slime coat on the surface of your fish.  This is a complete all-in-one preparation for planted aquarium water.

Description: This product provides bio-available nitrogen, magnesium and micronutrients for lush freshwater plant growth • Contains no phosphates to cause unwanted algae growth.

Considerations for use: First use Kent® Freshwater Plant Supplement which provides iron and other essential trace minerals for lush greening of freshwater plants. Then use this product, Pro•Plant with Pro•Gro plant growth accelerator to spur rapid plant growth. Both products are phosphate free so that they do not cause unwanted algae growth!

Kent Blackwater Expert will provide rich humins, much like rich soil that you put around your tomatoes. The rich nutrients in Blackwater Expert will accelerate cell division and stimulate root systems.

Plants also require strong lighting of proper spectrum and abundant carbon dioxide in the system. If you are planning a heavily planted tank, you may want to invest in a CO2 system. Do not use more than twice the recommended dosage.

The use of Kent® Freshwater Plant Supplement simultaneously with the Pro•Plant will provide all of the nutrients that freshwater plants need for vigorous growth and healthy leaves and roots. No laterite is required!

Description: This product provides bio-available iron and other micronutrients for lush fresh water plant growth. Contains no phosphates, nitrates, or other fertilizers to cause unwanted algae growth.

Considerations for use: Kent Freshwater Plant Supplement provides essential trace minerals for lush growth of freshwater plants. Our goal is to provide Sustained Long-term Results. To this end, Freshwater Plant Supplement contains no fertilizers which tend to encourage unwanted algae growth. The iron used in Freshwater Plant Supplement is iron EDTA. It is as strong or stonger than any plant supplement or fertilizer on the market. It is yellow in color, and is the most expensive iron available. It will take the place of tropical laterite, and is easier to use. Unlike other dark brown irons, it will stay in solution longer and provide sustained iron to plants over a long period of time. Do not be fooled by the lightness of the color and do not overdose your system because of the color. Do not use more than twice the recommended dosage. You may also want to use new Kent Blackwater Expert which will provide superb spawning conditions for your fish, as well as spuring plant growth!

Metal Halide lights are excellent plant lights if you are really serious about a beautiful plant tank. In new aquariums or those with few or no fish, plants may need some additional nitrates and phosphates. If so, use a fertilizer in combination with Freshwater Plant Supplement, but be careful, as you can easily have an algae farm!

It contains no phosphates, nitrates, or silicates to cause undesirable algae or slime growths. Kent Water Garden Aquatic Plant Supplement will encourage marginal and floating plants to use the nitrates and phosphates that are naturally available from fish excrement and tap water pollutants, thereby effectively removing those nutrients from the algae. Use on a regular basis, particularly if leaves are yellowing.

It is yellow in color, and is the most expensive iron available. Unlike iron oxide (rust) and other dark brown irons, it will stay in solution longer and provide sustained iron to plants over a long period of time. Do not be fooled by the lightness of the color and do not overdose your system because of the color. Do not use more than twice the recommended dosage.

Since Aquatic Plant Supplement contains no fertilizers (i.e. phosphates and nitrates), it may be necessary to supplement those nutrients for heavy feeding plants by using a true fertilizer. If fertilizer tablets are used, they should be applied directly to the roots of such plants, beneath a heavy layer of mud, to prevent the entry of the undesirable fertilizers into the water itself! Never add products containing phosphates and nitrates directly to the water, as this would certainly encourage green algae growth!
