FORUM BEWARE!
Did you know that many of the aquatic forums you may be visiting may be owned by our competitors?  It's true.  In fact, those so-called plant forums only post negative comments about other companies in hopes of driving more business to their own sites! It's a sad and desperate way of bringing in revenue.  This is a practice that our company does not approve of.  Forums are supposed to be a happy meeting place to help you learn about plants & fish and where others can share their knowledge.  Legitimate forums will have professional moderators that will screen all incoming posts and allow the "other guy" to comment or defend themselves before that forum will post said comments publicly.  Otherwise those forums are just allowing gossip and hearsays to be posted without merit.  There are few legit forums out there, so use caution when visiting.  Use common sense, if the forum is trash-talking about another company, it's probably just that....garbage.

NEW POSITIVE CHANGES WITH  FLAT RATE SHIPPING AT AZGARDENS
In our ongoing effort to continually improve our company, we have changed our shipping costs from "ACTUAL" to Pre-Determined "FLAT RATE" fees.  This will eliminate the guess work out of what your shipping fees will be.  It has taken us a long time to figure out a fair and reasonable fee for our customers all over the US, but we are confident that this pro-active step is a major improvement within our company and should make ordering more clear, easier and pleasant.

2010 Best Aquarium Photo Contest Submissions Now Accepted
We are starting our AAG Best Aquarium Contest! We haven't done this in a couple years, but due to overwhelming requests we are doing it again! Photos must be submitted by Dec 14th, 2010. Winners will be announced on Dec 23rd, 2010.  Gift Certificates for the following Winners will be $200 First Place, $100 Second Place, & $50 for Third place.   Limit 3 submissions per contestant.  Send only One picture per entry, Include your full name, city, state, tank size, fish/shrimp/plant types in your email.    Email your photos to: photo@azgardens.com.

NEW LOWER SHIPPING RATES EFFECTIVE NOW!
It was a long time coming, and after weeks of negotiating rates with UPS, they have agreed to offer our company actual box weight rates! No more dimensional rate pricing that our previous carrier has hit us with for so long. Example: The old carrier would charge us over $80 for a 2 pound 12"x12"x12" box shipping overnight from Tucson to Miami, because the box size "dimmed" at 9 pounds! UPS has agreed to waive ALL dim box pricing for our customers and will only charge ACTUAL weight pricing. This is exciting news. That same example we show you above for a 2 pound box to Miami now would only cost that customer appx $40, because UPS will only charge for the 2 pounds, not the dimmed fee. This means shipping rates will be 1/2 the cost of past shipments! We gave our previous carrier countless opportunities to fix this ongoing problem, but only ended up increasing our rates year after year! UPS will now be our exclusive shipping company starting this coming week, and we know this will change our company for the good!

Anubias grown on Driftwood, NOW AVAILABLE
