Not only does API Freshwater Aquarium Salt protect and heal fish, it also promotes healthy gill function and limits algae growth.

Perhaps the main advantage of this product is that it wipes out multitudes of harmful bacteria and parasites. It can also be used to clean aquarium accessories and hatch brine shrimp.

It is perfect to use on all freshwater shrimp and fish, and it does not contain harmful trace elements that you typically find in ordinary salt. You only have to use 1 teaspoon to treat 5 gallons of aquarium water, although we do sell a larger box of salt as well.
