Heckel’s Thread-Finned Acara is one of the most sought after of all the cichlids. It boasts a beautiful silver body, shades of green and blue, as well as an elongated spine. These fish require a roomy well-planted tank of 40 gallons or larger. They enjoy digging though the aquarium sand for food, therefor use sand or fine gravel in the tank.
