The Mosaic Floating Pond Plant, or Ludwigia sedioides, is an herbaceous perennial plant in the family Onagraceae. It boasts beautiful yellow flowers that bloom from June to August with deep green and red foliage. Perfect for providing surface coverage and protection for your pond life, this plant grows easily and requires minimal maintenance. Native to Brazil and Venezuela, its habitat includes wet, swampy localities and will thrive in hardiness zones 9 – 10. It is best to NOT plant this in soil, but rather just lay the roots on the water surface and allow it to take off on it’s own.
