The Blushing Pristella Tetra is known for its almost completely transparent body.
Found in both acidic and alkaline coastal waters of Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana and Venezuela, this is a very adaptable fish.
The Blushing Pristella Tetra will grow to about 5 inches and is usually grouped in an aquarium with at least 6 other fish of the same specie.
The males are identifiable by being smaller and thinner than the female. In an aquarium environment, the Blushing Pristella Tetra will feed on prepared foods as well as small insects and planktonic animals.
