Nymphaea ‘Paul Hariot’
As far as changeable lilies are concerned, the Paul Hariot Winter Hardy Water Lily is one of the best. You can use this lily in small to medium ponds, and even in barrels. It is a free-flowering lily that blooms in an apricot yellow, before eventually developing an orange-pink color on the second day. It finally rests with a deep red on the ensuing days.
Its blooms are cup shaped, with a 5” area across. It stands several inches above the water, and it releases a very delightful fragrance, which is somewhat unique among hardy lilies. Lastly, it has green pads with red spots on both surfaces.
