Description
Serrasalminae is a family of characiform fish recently elevated to family status. The name means “serrated salmon family” which refers to the serrated keel running along the belly of these fish. Serrasalminae contains fish such as Pirahna, Pacus & Silver Dollars
Origin, Appearance and additional notations: Virtually the same fish as a common Silver Dollar, except this variety lacks the markings of it’s almost twin. There are over 10 species of the Silver Dollar, this being one of the more uncommon varieties to add to your collection.
Algae tablets, flake foods or any other suitable foods should be fed multiple times daily, keeping a close watch to make sure they are getting their share from more aggressive eaters.
