A killifish you don’t see very often that’s ideal for your community tank! Extremely peaceful and not a nuisance at all. They will co-exist fine with small shrimp we sell herein. Light blues, red spots & pale yellow colors are mixed up in this beautiful fish. Some colors are just unbelievable! Females are not equally colored as the male pic you see here, but you must have a female to help make the babies! This is an egglaying, top swimmer that prefers a planted aquarium, but will live well in a tight space such as a small bowl without aeration as it will breath in air, similar to the popular betta or siamese fighting fish. These killies like acid water so a blackwater extract should be used. Ideal tank mates include: Shrimp, SAE’s, Tetras, Rasboras, Danios, Dwarf Gouramis, Discus, Angels, Rainbowfish, other Livebearers, Plecos, and small Scavenger Catfish.

These fish live in colonies. If you want a better chance of having a breeding pair, you should buy a larger group so that your female has a choice of which male she wants to breed with. After they breed, they will both return to their colony.
