Description
The Gertrudes Blue Eyed Dwarf Rainbowfish stands out because of its green scales that have tiny black spots all over it. Females tend to have a light orange color incorporated, as well. This species is known for their speed and can be seen doing laps around the aquarium, so make sure to give the little swimmers some room. They can get as big as 2 inches and since these are a dwarf species would keep them with othe dwarf species at a rate of 1 per gallon. Though the juveniles will look dull, they live up to their reputation, as they get older and mature. Lifespan on the Gertrude’s is appx 5 years.
