Botia histrionica, Golden Burmese Botia
Size: up to 15cm
This is a very peaceful, bottom-dwelling, scaleless fish found in India and is extremely rare to this hobby. This particular variety of Botia will not likely be found in your common pet store. It has a brown body with a golden stripes and a reddish hue on it’s cheeks and down it’s entire body. It is a great scavenger/janitor fish and does nibble on hair algae. This species also appreciates caves, logs, and rocks to hide in or under.
