Description
Norman’s Lampeye Killifish
Poropanchax normani
aka: Emerald Green Lampeye Killifish, African Lampeye, Aplocheilichthys Normani, Lampeye Killi, Lampeye Killifish, Sobat Lampeye
The Lampeye Killie is a small species that gets only 1.5 inches (3.5 cm) in length. At first glance they may not appear to be a very pretty candidate for your aquarium, BUT if you display them properly with good lighting, you’ll quickly see why they are so popular! True to their name, the eyes of the Lampeye will shine and the iridescence of their bodies will appear breathtakingly!
Lampeye Killies are schooling fish, so they will not do well unless you have at least 6 or more! As with all schooling fish, the more the merrier so get as many as you can. A school of these shining little beauties is an awesome sight. Easy to raise, versatile in pH and all water types. A sure fire winner for your community tank! Make sure you have plenty of plants in their habitat for your fish to seek refuge and shelter.
