The Melia Azedarach is native to Southeast Asia and Northern Australia and is an ornamental tree. In Southeast Asia the Chinaberry tree is used for shade because of its large canopy. The fruit from the Chinaberry tree is also useful where people can dry, color, and turn the fruit into jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces. The berrys are not safe for consumption.
