Nymphaea ‘Antares’
The Red Antares Night Blooming Water Lily is a free flowering waterlily featuring spectacular large red & magenta blooms. These flowers are shaped similar to a cup, and feature a strong aroma. As a proven excellent grower, this flower boasts one of the deepest reds found within all the tropical night blooming lilies. The flower is a hybrid that was developed in Longwood Gardens, PA and named for the largest red star in the constellation Scorpius. The leaves are dark green suffused with dark purple. Antares will definitely stand out in most any water garden as a master of the evening and night.
