This beautiful white flowered lily is a native of the Southern United States and thrives in swamp and bog settings. Typically reliant on still water habitats the Southern Lily (Crinum americanum) can grow up to 2-4 feet in length.
Some professionals place this aquatic bog plant in the amaryllis family rather than classification as a lily. The Southern Swamp Lily grows erect in smaller clump areas and is reliant on the wet conditions of swamps and bogs. Used as a Bog plant these Swamp Lilys will do excellent either Emerged or Submerged grown. Note some mature specimens of Swamp lilys in latter pics. Very Easy to Grow and blooms are fragrant!
