Water Lettuce or Pistia sp. Floating Plant

Description

Enjoy ease of care and the peaceful temperament of the Water Lettuce Floating Plant. The bright green leaves are contrasted by deeply hued and textured veins, and may produce small white flowers as well. There are many benefits to having this plant in your garden pond, including the ability to reduce algae and provide shade to pond life. Although this plant prefers shade in warmer temperatures, it will not do well if exposed to cold. It will do best in hardiness zones 9 – 11.
