The African Red Jewel Cichlid is a medium-sized, mild-mannered cichlid that likes to keep to itself. The colors on these beautiful fish can vary, but when breeding, the coloring & markings on the male stand out quite a bit more. We do suggest keeping several females for each male in order to lower the stress among the females.
