A slender fish, the Cherry Barb is a dream to own. It’s low maintenance, and it prefers soft, slightly acidic water. It also like tanks with a bunch of plants, and you should put it in a tank with other Cherry Barbs, at least until they breed and pair off.
Once the pairs have been made, the female will lay the eggs while the male will fertilize, and about five days later the fry will be swimming in your tank!
