The ever peaceful tropical aquarium fish Dojo Loach originates from Asia and is farm raised for the aquarium industry. All loaches are bottom dweller scavengers with minimal or absent scales and a mouth surrounded by barbs in which they use to find food. Gold Dojos have an elongated smooth body that is gold to pink in color. They are peaceful and efficient scavengers that will make a welcome addition to any community aquarium and best in planted tropical aquariums that are 76 degrees or warmer.
Gold Dojo Loaches should be stocked in numbers as they do not prefer to be alone, plus they are very difficult to determine gender differences externally. So stock them up to create a colony and let mother nature do the rest.
All loaches fish are scavengers and should accept nearly all aquarium fish foods, just dont overfeed, let them be fish and forage most of the time. Loaches hang out mostly near the bottom substrate or rest on decor in their tank.
