The Green Severum Cichlid, originally from the Amazon, is a very trusting fish that will sometimes accept food directly from their owner’s hand. To keep this fish happy, give them a home in a 20-gallon or larger tank that is lightly planted with a soft bottom. Also consider adding a few large rocks, as long as there is still plenty of room for swimming. They will also be happiest living amongst a large colony. They will enjoy eating frozen foods, including freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex, and ocean plankton, as well as flake food and Cichlid pellets.
