Rio Negro Chocolate Cichlids are not known for being tidy eaters, however, they have an incredibly peaceful temperament. To keep them happiest and healthiest, provide them with good filtration, as well as plenty of space. They will also enjoy having a well-planted tank, but keep in mind that they do tend to dig when ready to spawn but will not destroy your tank. You will want to feed them NLS Ultra Red Food if you really want the colors on this fish to pop!
