This simple to care for, peaceful omnivore is ideal for tanks 30 gallons +. If you have one of these stocked in your tank, he will be a great janitor! This is a plecostamus that will not harm your plants and will scrape old hard algaes off of the glass, keep driftwood clean & scavenge the bottom for debris. This is a well sought after Pleco by planted aquarists everywhere and are not always easy to find especially at this price. Compare to other competitors who charge as much as $35.00 each.
Good rule of thumb for stocking: 1 per 5 gallons. Ideal tank mates include: Angels, Discus and other Cichlids, Tetras, Barbs, Danios, Rasboras, Gouramis, Rainbowfish, Livebearers, Loaches, other Plecos, and scavenger Catfish. Great community fish!
