The Zebra Danio is an active & peaceful schooling fish that enjoys free swimming space. The aquarium or pond should be well-planted. Danios are omnivorous so you should offer them a variety of live, frozen and dry foods. Breeding is easy and can be done naturally when housed in large schools. After spawning the parents should be removed immediately because they eat their own eggs. After 2 days the eggs hatch. When the young fishes are swimming free you can raise them with fine crushed dry food.
