Drape Fin Barb (Oreichthys crenuchoides)
This is a small, peaceful barb found in clear water streams in NE India, aka High Fin Barb is named for the gorgeous large dorsal fins of adult males, which are used in courting during breeding. A shoaling fish, Drapefin barbs are found in large aggregations in the wild and should be kept in groups of at least 6 fish in the aquarium. The Drapefin Barb can be shy or timid and will do best in a planted aquarium. These are hardy and active! A large group of these is sure to impress!
