The Blue Hook Myleus or Black-barred Silver Dollar is a distinctive, disc-shaped freshwater fish native to the Amazon and Orinoco river basins in South America.

Lifespan: Up to 10–12 years
Temperament: Peaceful, but timid and easily startled if not kept in groups, they are a shoaling fish so keep in groups of at least 5 to 6 individuals.
