The Banjo catfish is easy to care for. They are extremely chill! They are non-aggressive. Banjo cats originate in freshwater forest streams, ponds, and lakes in Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay & Brazil. Their tree bark-like appearance enables them to blend in with the debris at the bottom of the riverbed. The average length of a full-grown banjo catfish is 5–6 inches. Males and females are similar in length, but females look plumper than males when viewed from the side. There are about 40+ species of banjo catfish in South America. This is the Bunocephalus coracoideus, one of the best species for typical aquarium exhibition and can be stocked in numbers as these live in colonies. Offer lots of wood, and other decor to mimic mother nature. Shipped small size.
