Want a goldfish for your pond or aquarium without worry about them destroying all your plants? This is a great choice! Fancy Fantail Goldfish are NOT destructive to plants (like Koi can be). They are very peaceful, and you can easily stock at least 1 per square foot of pond space or 1 per every 5 gallons of tanks space. They can live for decades without any supplemental feedings outdoors, and will eat algae and bugs that occur in your pond! Socially friendly fish that adds a nice splash of color
Fancy Fantail Goldfish are one of the more rounded or egg-shaped fancy goldfish. Their main feature is a split fantail fin that is medium in length and slightly forked. These fish make great pets and are very beneficial for any pondscape or even aquarium setup! Their hardiness and ability to live at colder temperatures makes them ideal for outdoor ponds. The Black Moor is the only possible exception to this, not because it lacks hardiness but because of its telescopic eyes. These eyes cause it to have poor vision, so it is not a good competitor for food and more subject to injury and infection.
