The Starfire Red Gourami is a genetically enhanced variety of the popular Pearl Gourami (Trichogaster leerii). Known for their brilliant, fluorescent red coloring under blue LED lights, they are peaceful, slow-moving community fish that make striking centerpiece additions to tropical tanks. Very Easy to care for and so awesome to look at!
Basic Care Facts:
Temperament: Peaceful and calm. They can easily be kept in community tanks with other non-aggressive fish.
Size & Lifespan: They typically grow to about 3 to 4 inches in length and have a relatively long lifespan (often up to 8 years or more with good care).
Tank Size: At least 20 to 30 gallons +.
Temperature: 76°F to 80°F (24°C to 27°C).
Environment: They thrive in heavily planted tanks with plenty of hiding spots, dim lighting, and a gentle water flow.
