This peaceful Pleco is one of several strikingly marked black & white species of Hypancistrus from the Rio Xingu in Brazil. The King Tiger Pleco lives in inhabits rocky areas of warm, fast-moving water in nature so provide plenty of current. In the aquarium they will thrive in an environment with lots of cover in the form of rocky caves and driftwood. As carnivores they should be fed protein rich foods like bloodworms, and carnivore pellets.
