The Spiky Tower Cap Snail or Tarebia lineata is a freshwater snail native to SE Asia. The shell has a beautiful thin spiral that travels the length of the shell and small tufts almost resembling spikes midway through the shell. They feed on decaying plant tissues which will aid the the reduction of ammonia formation in your aquarium. The Spiky Tower Cap Snail does have a trapdoor and it will button up tight when it feels threatened.
These snails are safe to keep in planted tanks and will only reproduce in brackish water.
