This rare species of Cichlid is native to Lake Tanganyika in eastern Africa. This fish is a substrate spawner & one of the few substrate-spawning cichlids that schools as well. The Princess Cichlid (African Neolamprologus Brichardi) feeds from the rocky biocover picking at small or nearly microscopic crustaceans & inverts. It will also feed on swarms of plankton when available.
