Description
Black Peony Goldfish, Carassius auratus auratus, Dragon Eye Goldfish
The Black Moor is a telescoped eyed type of goldfish that is most recognized for having their eyes protruding from the sides of their heads in a more pronounced fashion than typical goldfish varieties.
Because of their large eyes, their vision is very poor, resulting in under-feeding in pond and aquarium situations. Keep an eye out for these fish in your setting, as they may not get fed, as well as they are not as hearty as some of the other goldfish varieties.
These Black Moor Goldfish originated in China, and have been in fishtanks aquariums, and ponds throughout the world.
