The Buckhorn Cholla is Native to Mojave, Sonoran, and Colorado Deserts of North America. It is a branching woody cactus that produces a beautiful flower from red to golden yellow, followed by a shriveled, spiny fruit. Cylindropuntia acanthocarpa can grow 3 to 9 feet tall and are hardy to 20 degrees F.
