The Lionhead Goldfish is probably the most recognizable and popular of all the goldfish species. The Lionhead is a more rounded body compared to the more slender bodies of the Common Goldfish. The goldfish has dual tail fins and dual anal fins for a very full look.
Bred originally in China and introduced to Japan in the 17th century, they can be distinguished by having a less contoured shape to its back.
Lionhead Goldfish are slow swimmers with a lifespan ranging from 5-10 years, reach a full length of around 6” or so.
