Pogostemon helferi is an excellent aquarium plant to fill the foreground areas of a planted tank. The ruffled edge of the leaves along with the star shape adds nice depth and texture. A fairly easy and beautiful plant that will grow in a large cluster over time, the addition of CO2 and nutrients will improve its overall health and looks, but can be grown in a low light setup. P. helferi is also known as Downoi , and is not always an easy plant for the beginner aquarist without CO2.
