The Rotala indica is a a fast growing excellent aquarium plant because it adapts to most typical water conditions and is very forgiving! Growth will be dependent on the amount of light and nutrients it is offered. In high light and rich nutrients Rotala indica will grow quickly. The more light and food provided, the more red the leaves will become, and in conditions of sufficient food and high light levels Rotala indica will take on a beautiful red to the newer leaves of the growing stem. WIll need to be pruned regularly, with the cuttings re-planted to replace the older stems.
