Description
Anubias plants are best suited for aquaria, but grow much slower underwater. They are best planted in a shady or low light area in order to restrict the algae growth on leaves. The larger species won’t fit in most tanks. By raising their leaves above water level you will see the quickest results of growth. Gigantea Anubias will root onto wood or rough rocks. Be sure to keep the rhizome above grave; they will grow an extensive root into the gravel. To encourage growth, anchor it to the wood with a rubber band or black cotton sewing thread. When the leaves are damaged they will not repair themselves. In order to avoid the damaged leaves, you’ll need to prune back.
