The Hemiodus is a slim, silvery fish with a half black line and a dash of red and yellow in the tail. It is native to floodplain rivers and lakes of the Orinoco & Brazilian Amazon basins. It can grow to up to 6″ long. They are active, fast swimming and shoaling fish that can avoid and evade predators easily so this is a great fish for south american cichlid tanks.
