Gold Spot Pleco Pond Fish, also known as Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus, have a brownish colored body that features random gold, irregular spotting. These fish also have over 10 rays in its dorsal fin.
All these features provide for a very characteristic fish. Unlikely to breed in an aquarium, they will easily breed in pools outdoors. Vegetables, wafers, shrimp and bloodworms are amongst their favorite foods.
These fish will usually reach a maximum size of 8 – 12”, but are very slow growers.
