Xiphophorous hellerii
The Red Sunset Swordtail is an exquisite color morph of the popular Swordtails. This is another highly sought-after variation of the Xiphophorus helleri that boasts a breathtaking, saturated red coloration. The male has short, sleek fins with a distinct extension on the lower part of the tail, resembling a sword. Even though the female does not have the distinguishing sword-like tail, her deep red coloration makes her breathtaking as well. They will grow to be a miximum of 4”, require a temperature of 64-82 F, a KH of 12-30, and a pH of 7-8.3.
